Health & Wellness

Health & Wellness Month

Welcome to the Gate City Striders Health and Wellness Month!  Normally the club sponsors a night at track where various local vendors can come and share information about themselves, but with the year 2020 being what it is, we can't safely get together at the track.  Instead, we've decided to spread out the mission of Health and Wellness over the month of August!  We plan to feature a few businesses a week where some are offering virtual content (live class, pre-recorded video, etc), others special deals, and all designed to help the members of the club!

Peak Recovery & Health CenterPEAK Recovery & Health Center

Take a peek (pun intended!) at some of the services PEAK offers in this video

At PEAK Recovery & Health Center, the goal is to ensure clients feel, think, look, and perform better! They accomplish this through advanced technology focusing on aiding recovery and relieving chronic pain via cryotherapy, photobiomodulation, infrared saunas, and float pods. Their location at 345 Amherst St in Nashua offers these amazing services to the public and is an asset to runners looking for preventative measures in their training or for additional methods to help injury recovery.

Cryotherapy, whether total body or locally, utilizes extreme cold to stimulate the body’s natural healing ability and reduce inflammation. Photobiomodulation and Infrared Sauna are forms of light and heat therapy. Float pods offer a new way to relax and restore the body -  stress relief in a less active form.

Visit PEAK’s website to learn more about their services or stop by and talk to fellow Gate City Strider and owner Colin Cook!
