Welcome to the Gate City Running Festival.

As 2022 gets under way we are excited to announce the return of the Gate City Running Festival.

Based on the feedback from participants as well as our volunteers the one mile Broad Street race is here to stay! While at the same time we are bringing back the distances races. While disappointingly we can not support a full distance marathon at this time we are excited to bring back the half marathon event. Additionally for those registrants who want to go for distance but aren't quite ready to tackle the half marathon we are offering a fast and flat by New England standards 10 kilometer event.

Limited Swag Bags still available as they are only given to the first 100 registrants.

Starting times are:
8am for the Half Marathon
8:30am for the Southern New Hampshire Health 10K
10am for the 1 mile.

Parking: Parking is permitted either along the Pine St. Ext along Mine Falls Park or at the lower end of Technology Way. The parking spots at the top of Technology Way will be reserved for bib pickup and event tents.

1. When is bib pick-up?
Bib pick-up will open at 6:30am on race morning. Bib pickup for each of the events will close 15 minutes before the start of the event.

2. May I enter multiple events?
Yes, you may register for the mile in addition to a second race but there is no "double" entry this year. You must also finish the first race and still make the start for the second race.

3. Are there water stops along the route?
There are 4 water stops on the Half Marathon route and 1 on the Southern New Hampshire Health 10K route.
The first water stop is around mile 4 on Fairmount St.
The second (and fourth) water stop at mile 4.7 and 11.2 along Sargent Ave.
The third water stop is at mile 7 on Swart Rd.

4. Are there gels on course?
We are working on securing a gel sponsor and hope to offer gels at the Sargent Ave. stop, more information to come.

5. Are there Porta-potties on route?
We will have a couple porta-potties near Sargent Ave.

6. How can I volunteer?
If interesting in participating in the event as a volunteer please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F084FA4AA2BA3FD0-2022

7. Can our running club bring a tent to the venue?
Local running clubs are permitted to bring one 10'x10' tent to be set-up near the start/finish area of the 10km and half marathon. Please note that the city requires building permits for tents larger than 10'x10' so if your tent is larger than that we will need to ask you to remove the tent. Also note that in the event the wind is dangerously high on race day, the race committee may ask you to remove your tent regardless of size.

8. Interested in setting up a table to present your business to the community. How can I get involved?
If you are interested in setting up a 10'x10' tent to showcase your local business we have a dedicated sponsor tent area by the start/finish line. To reserve your tent space we ask that a sponsorship of $100 be made to the race. Please note you may not sell items at the event without a hawkers permit from the city. The application and approval of this permit is left to the vendor.

9. Are there photo areas at the venus?
We will set up the Gate City Striders Flags and have the finsh and start line arch which may be used for taking photos before or after the event. Please refrain from taking photos in front of the start arches 10' or sooner before any particular event start time.

10. Are there cut off times for the races?
We are permitted by the city to host the race until 1:00pm that day. This gives Half-marathons 5 hours to complete the event. If this is insufficient please consider registering for the 10km race in which you will have 4.5 hours to complete the event.
