2025 Freeze Your Buns 5K Series
FYB is a great fun winter running series for runners of all abilities. Run on relatively flat, low-traffic roads, the series is beginner friendly. If you’re just starting out running for the new year, welcome! If you’re a seasoned runner, welcome back!
We will continue to offer a virtual option* for competing in the 2025 FYB Race Series, just as we did last year. Our price will be unchanged from prior years, $20 for the series for Gate City Members and $25 for non-members. In these times, it’s hard to do, but we really like being an inexpensive series!
For in-person runners, the race will start promptly at 9AM on the road between Conway Arena and the Nashua YMCA. As in years past, we will be using the lobby of Conway Arena to warm up before or after the race. For virtual runners, times are due on the Monday following the scheduled race.
Note that in the event of inclement weather, we will be cancelling the in-person race, but the race will take place virtually. While many of us would run in the snow just for the fun of it, the city has asked us not to run the race if it will interfere with snow removal operations at Nashua High School South. In this event, we will announce that that week’s race will be fully virtual. We will be running a make-up date for canceled in-person races this year on March 16th.
* To ensure fair competition, CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS WILL ONLY BE AWARDED FOR IN PERSON RACING
* Times are due the Monday after each scheduled race. Run at any time over the weekend up to end of day on Monday. Run wherever you can.

This year, we are able to offer online registration right through the event! As always though, on-site registration is available. Register Online
Directions:
Take exit 5W, Route 111 off Route 3/Everett Turnpike. Go west toward Pepperell for ½ mile, turn right on Riverside Street. Turn first left into parking area. Use the YMCA and Stellos Stadium lots only. Do not park in the Conway Arena lot.
