Virtual Runners Cross Training Class with Shelby

Need to supplement your running? Shelby is offering two 30 minute live runner cross training classes to GCS members via ZOOM. The classes will be held online at 5:30PM on Wednesday, 4/29 and Wednesday, 5/6. Join in for some cross training before you head out for an evening run!

From Shelby:
“My goal is to give you guys an excellent workout that will complement any running sessions you have planned for later that day or week.
First, we will start with lower body cardio to get our heart rate up. Then I’ll be focusing on upper body and core since these are often neglected by us runners. But don’t worry, we will be doing some leg day work to increase our endurance and speed!
I’ll then take you thru a good 10 minute flexibility training session to help you improve stride length, reduce injury, and speed up recovery. At the end, I will be available for questions, suggestions, requests or drinks. Ha haaaa!
Here’s the following recommendations that I have for you. These items are not exactly necessary. But definitely helpful.
– a small hand towel
– a mat, pillow, or soft rug (we will be on floor for part of workout)
– if you want to increase the intensity of your workout, please feel free to add weights or bands
-you will not need shoes unless you prefer them
(Lastly, we will be doing some foam rolling techniques, so let me know if you don’t have one and I’ll give some suggestions.)”
