We will open up the virtual event specifically for the Half Marathon and Marathon (no Relay) and keep a record of all virtual finishers on our website. Please note that virtual runners will not receive an event race shirt but WILL receive a finishers medal and ARE eligible to use the event as part of their journey to complete the Mill Cities Double as though the 2020 event had occurred as scheduled. Any runners who wish to defer to 2021 but had already completed the Baystate in 2019 will also be recognized as completing the Mill Cities Double upon completion of the 2021 Gate City event. Please note that jacket orders and medals will be mailed out but will not be produced until our vendors are able to reopen at which time we will proceed with the order. Details on how to log the virtual event will be coming out late next week, but will require that runners use either a Strava or Garmin account for logging the run. Meanwhile the Gate City Striders remain committed to supporting our communities where our members live and work. To this end, the Gate City Striders have also implemented a Virtual Charity Race series http://gatecity.org/social-distance-race-series. Proceeds from our first series will go to the Nashua Soup Kitchen, providing a vital role in serving our community members in need of meals and food supplies.
